Nick was born and raised in Terrebonne Parrish Louisiana, and relocated to North Georgia over a decade ago to start a family. He currently resides in Cumming, GA with his wife, son, three dogs, a cat, and other small creatures. Nick received his undergraduate degree studying behavior at Troy University, and then earned a Master’s in rehabilitation counseling through The University of Alabama. Nick believes that
through systematic reconditioning and healthy community involvement, true behavioral change is happening every day. People can find growth and empowerment through resilience in overcoming various obstacles and adversities. Nick spent two years working in a residential treatment center before transitioning to partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programming. Nick has a passion for working with individuals of all ages and finds that his specialty is working with addictions, codependency, chronic anxiety, major life changes (especially retirement), veterans and leading groups. He believes that we are all different in our journey and there is not a one size fits all treatment. His approach is to meet clients where they are and work with them in helping heal and/or reach their goals. Nick’s career goals include further development of experiential activities, trauma-focused treatment, and leadership training skills. Nick decided to transition into private practice because he wanted to create a more therapeutic relationship with clients and help them with life issues and obstacles over a longer period, that a treatment setting cannot offer.
While spending time with his family, he enjoys everything outdoors from sports to camping to anything on Lake Lanier.
Nick looks forward to connecting with you!
